Sunny Devon

Spent a lovely week in Devon with Alyson and Bob and of course Fergus!!  The cottage was lovely - old stone, very compact. My room was at the top of a very tight staircase which took me past Aly and Bob's open plan master suite.  Had to close my eyes and keep my head down going down the stairs.

Some lovely walks through the forests and on the beaches. Woolacombe beach has miles of golden sand. Fergus loved it.

We visited Lynton and Lynmouth. Lynton is on top of the cliff  with Lynmouth the harbour joined together by a water operated railway. Great fun.

We spent the day in Ilfracombe which is a well known seaside resort with a very interesting tunnel through the cliffs to the beach. They used to have separate bathing pools for men and women with all sorts of shenanigans ongoing if the reports are true. Also famous for its impressive Wetherspoons!!
